Once a book has gone to print and is in production, the next stage for me is always to design and order the postcards that I will send out with the book. Just done and it really is a very satisfying stage of the process.

Sachsenhausen concentration camp. Oranienburg, Germany, January, 2019. Of its 200,000 prisoners, more than half died or were murdered. The experiments conducted in the camp, included attempts to prove that Aryan blood was different to Gypsy blood.

On press with Team in Leeds. Fantastic seeing the first sheets coming off the press. Using specialist quick drying UV inks / presses means the images do not need to ‘soak into’ the uncoated paper to dry, keeping the rich blacks on the surface.

I was just about to write you Marc. Your book is beautiful. The words, the images, the design, the passion and the overwhelming sentiments of you all is quite humbling to witness. I locked myself away to settle down beside you and it was a singular experience to say the least.
