Working on a new zine (number 4) today. I so enjoy the process of laying out the images, making subtle changes to the sequence (and size) seeing the images 'on page', as opposed to the sequence made from work prints on a table.

Editing and sequencing Zine number 4. From on screen edit to 99 work prints. Then 24 hour edit & sequencing to 81 to 65 to 35, each set kept to bring back. I sequence by story, chronology, geography, season, or more lyrically. From the first image, the end, or as in this case, the central image.

Today I am editing and sequencing my new 3rd zine. With zines the process is still completed with this print edit, just narrower than with the wider print edits for my books. My favourite part of the whole design process. As always watched by prints from Ivan Chernichkin, Jim Mortram & Tish Murtha.

Talking with a client today whom has ordered one of my books - Remnants. The book has now travelled from Bath to London to Berlin, (back) to Bath, (again) to London to Paris and (again) on way back to Bath. Thank you couriers 🤦‍♂️ Perhaps hand delivering might be easier :))
