Reminder that no new tracks are being added to Nintendo Music this week (not to say there can't be a new playlist or something though). I've seen concerns that next week will see a skip due to Golden Week, but I think we can reasonably assume they would've already said as much if it were the case.

Some regional track titles from Kirby games on Nintendo Music have been updated. You can find the details in the bonus sheets of the Information Database. Note: Last time this happened, it was seemingly unconnected to any planned drops.

With how massive the reaction has been to today's update you probably don't need me to tell you which of the new Splatoon 3 tracks on Nintendo Music are worth listening to, but it's been a while since I posted my favorite's spreadsheet so I'm going to anyway. No Quarters is yet another (1/4)

A lot of "Splatoon is the first complete series on Nintendo Music!" as well which, previous post aside, is funny given they added the entire Pilotwings series at once. Even then, as far as multi-game series go I'm pretty sure that honor technically goes to the R.O.B series (Stack-Up and Gyromite).

While it's an understandable conclusion it does need to be said that this probably won't be (and *shouldn't* be) the last update Splatoon 3 receives on Nintendo Music. There are still a notable 15 or so arrangements of Squid Sisters, Off the Hook, and Deep Cut music from the Grand Festival (1/3)

112 post-release tracks from Splatoon 3, including from the Splatoon 3: Side Order DLC, have been added to Nintendo Music!

Did you know that across the many "Selects" and Extended-Playback Picks playlists on Nintendo Music there are 410 tracks claimed to be the "very best tracks" on the service? The Playlist Database now includes a sheet conveniently compiling them and showing which of those playlists they're in!

A new sheet has been added to the Nintendo Music Playlist Database showing which characters or Splatoon artists feature tracks from each soundtrack. While this is easy enough to check on the service itself, this should hopefully make it more convenient to check multiple soundtracks at a time.

Here's the updated stats for the end of March (not that it's a massive change)! While lacking in certain areas, I'd say March was still another excellent month. We started off extremely strong with Kirby Air Riders and Super Mario 3D World, followed by the long-awaited Super Metroid. (1/3)

They've also made a minor adjustment to the Grizzco Industries playlist. "You Got Them! (Salmon Run) 1 / Grizzco" and "They Got You! (Salmon Run) / Grizzco" from Splatoon 3 have been replaced with their equivalent versions from Splatoon 2.

Well, if you thought Nintendo would learn from what happened with Wonder, guess again. Splatoon 3 on Nintendo Music has now had a number of images replaced and shows artist playlists which don't have tracks for it yet such as Off the Hook and Chirpy Chips lol

Nintendo Music has received a home page section tying-in to The Super Mario Galaxy Movie titled "A Galactic Adventure"!

Ten new songs from #AnimalCrossingNewHorizons have been added to the #NintendoMusic app! 🎵 Also, two Nintendo Music-themed custom designs are now available for download in Animal Crossing: New Horizons. #NintendoSwitchOnline members can download these designs in-game from the Custom Design Portal.

Added a minor new bonus sheet because it felt appropriate, it's just the Series sheet but with redirects also being displayed (still no Special Releases though) I personally prefer it this way but making it the default would be pretty misleading, so I think this is a good way to provide the option.

By the way, obviously the chances of some kind of Nintendo Music news tomorrow is very low, however please rest assured that I will not be making any April Fool's Day jokes on this account.

By the way, the reason I limited the Top tracks figure here to just those in the Nintendo Music Top Tracks playlist is because that's the figure we should be looking at when it comes to increasing the playlist limit from 4000 tracks. The closer it gets to 4000, the likelier they are to increase it.

[Nintendo Switch 2 System Update] Version 22.0.0 adds "Handheld Mode Boost". This will make Switch 1 games think that they are in TV mode even when in handheld. Games can run at higher resolutions in TV mode, taking better advantage of the Switch 2's 1080p screen.

Bluesky having in-app translations is cool and all but given that so far the results have been noticeably worse than DeepL or Google Translate I sure would love a way to switch back to the old method...

Recently I've seen people mention that selecting a track on Nintendo Music feels smoother, and that it appears to have better support for downloaded tracks. I'm no expert so take this with a grain of salt, but looking through my records it does look like they've actually done something here (1/3)

To add on to my previous posts, I forgot to mention but there's actually more evidence. You may notice if you've downloaded Super Mario Bros. Wonder tracks that you'll need to re-download them, and the reason is that almost every image for Wonder was replaced. These are of course archived (1/2)

Didn't realize this initially but Toad and Yoshi have also newly been added to the Super Mario Bros. Wonder character lineup on Nintendo Music, so that's something. I can only assume they're going to drop these tracks alongside the Switch 2 Edition itself on March 26th.
