I sent an email about Adoption fees at Hempstead animal shelter. Here is their answer: ⬇️ "Right now our adoption fee is just $10 for dogs but typically it is $35. And we are fine with her either being adopted or sent to a rescue group, whichever route gets her out into the right home.
