Farewell, then, to Croydon Vue. Your screening times were often obscure, your decor shabby or outright broken, your staff could make a ten minute queue when just two people buying tickets, and I swear one time I saw a rat scurry out from the seats, but in spite of all of that you were alright.

Went last night to see Project Hail Mary, and right before the film started a slide came up basically saying "Oh yeah, we're closing next week." Now mention of that last week when I went to see Ready or Not 2.

One aspect of why Spurs' season is...well, this season, that hasn't been mentioned as much as TF's tactics, injuries or PGMOL creating new rules for our games is how our squad seems ill-equipped to play two games a week in a season featuring both European football and constant international breaks.

Funnily enough, this reminds me of a time a couple of years ago where I was sat next to an Afrikaaner at a restaurant who refused to look at the menu a single time, and instead bossed the staff around to get what he wanted. Likely getting a few off-menu ingredients with his meal when it arrived.

Senegal found to break AFCON rules once, so have to forfeit the trophy. Chelsea found to have repeatedly broken Premier League rules for seven years, issued with a fine they can make back by selling their training ground to themselves again. Love the consistency, really I do...

Of course, it is unlawful. Even the "pre-emptive" justification is half-hearted guff. Of course, it is stupid. Wise US politicians once realised a rules-based international order was in their interests. That is being thrown away. And most of all, and regardless of the above, it is wrong.
