When D3 was released in February 2011, it transformed how we build data visualizations for the web and ushered in a new age of unbridled creativity in information design, data journalism, and beyond. Today, it remains the backbone of modern, interactive data viz. Happy 15th birthday, D3 🎂 d3js.org

This new visual start to work out really nice: A Likert scale bar chart with neutral values in the center and automatic calculations of the overall score (in this example: net score). Still a few features missing, but getting there.

Nice video showcasing how data visualization can help to bring a point across the audience. www.youtube.com/watch?v=7Nw6... Using a 3D map showing revenues and expenses of a city (probably made with deck.gl), the author is pretty convincing in telling us that walkable cities are a good thing.

These two visuals are now also available on the Power BI Marketplace and mostly free to use, even without a license. Simple visuals, no coding required like when using the Deneb visual.

Pretty amazed, how well #storybook integrates with #svelte. Using configuration JSON files to create test controls / interactive playground: ✅ check. Everything is super fast. Absolutely fantastic to develop visuals with many variables.

This was my personal favorite of the Svelte Summit. If you are looking to combine #Svelte and #ObservablePlot for #dataviz projects, this is a must see. According to the author not production ready yet, but something to keep an eye on.

This was one of the best presentation of the Svelte Summit. I'm really looking forward to use Storybook 9 in my next project.

I did buy a virtual ticket to the Svelte summit just to watch this presentation (free videos shall be released soon). Amazing work. I love Observable Plot, but it is very hard to get the marks animated. I hope this one will survive!

So much to love in the scrollytelling — the ternary plot, the depth of the data, the findings — but my favourite part is the explanation and the text in general. 📊 Remember, a chart doesn't have to be understood in 3 seconds. It should reward the effort you put into understanding it.
