World Cancer Day 2025. 🤩 I had the privilege of spending the evening with some of the most inspiring scientists, supporters, and staff in the historic setting of the UK House of Lords. I can't quite believe that this is actually my ‘job’.

I’m thrilled to announce that starting in January, I will be the new Head of Talent and Influencers at @cancerresearchuk.org. With a decade of experience in relationship management across the sector, I am eager to lead the team in fostering strong, lasting partnerships with talent & influencers.

This is a significant moment with the #AssistedDying bill being passed. This is just the start of the conversation, with so much to figure out. I hope they bring in the Hospice sector early to consider the impact and viable options.

Concerns about NI increases are troubling many charities, and it seems there is little willingness from the government to exclude them from the increase.

I am so honoured to be a trustee for my local hospice. Hospices face uncertain futures due to rising costs & inadequate funding. However, I’m inspired by the executive team's resolve & the dedication of our staff, donors, & volunteers. Hospices are extraordinary places that must be protected.

The report on the Captain Tom Foundation highlights the charity's mismanagement, which is disappointing for the sector. Having managed my own family foundation and then the Bowelbabe Fund established by Dame Deborah James, I find it hard to understand how they thought they could get away with it.

The hospice funding crisis is a looming disaster. If we don't act quickly, hospices across the country will be forced to reduce their services or close entirely, creating a significant gap that the NHS cannot fill. We must take action now—everyone deserves to die with dignity. #hospices

The national insurance increase is going to cost charities thousands, in some cases MILLIONS, of pounds extra a year. The government has to do something to protect the sector, or for some organisations they won’t be around to deliver the vital services government needs them too. #charities #NI
