Turns out, Pokémon Let's Go is very fun to play co-op if you have young children. I got LGP so that my young daughter and I can play together and we can't get enough. Not to mention the art style is adorable and the music has this airy whimsy to it. Screw you, haters.

I am eternally envious of 2D artists for being able to visualize space and perspective in 2D. As a 3D artist, I suck at doing that. Space on a 2D plane just baffles me. With stuff like Blender, perspective is done for me, so I don't have to think about it. Not so for drawing/painting.

I have a renewed appreciation for EverSpace 2. Space combat and Freelancer-likes are very uncommon, so it earns points for that right off the bat. But what sells ES2 for me are the tight controls and fun weapons/abilities for the ships. Arguably best in class there. Galactic pew-pew at its best.

City Trial in Kirby Air Ride is 2003-era Fortnite. You drop into a big map, collect pickups and loot to buff yourself, and survive players and hazards to be the best in a final confrontation. REDUCTION IS FUN.

Having grown up around dogs, I wasn't sure what the fuss was about cats. Sure, I thought they were cute, but I didn't quite get the attraction. Now that we have two orange felines in the house, I finally get it. Cats are funny. Plus, it's nice having a pet screw off and come back on their terms.

I just found out that it's possible to install Linux AppImages using a package manager, so they're better integrated with the system and show up in application launchers. I just did that with UZDoom.

I booted up TimeSplitters: Future Perfect today, and I was overwhelmed by the sheer amount of stuff there is to do. Not only do you have the main campaign and the versus mode, but you also have oodles of funny challenge stages and a map editor. And unlockable characters!

Loosen up the code a little? More like loosen up your grip on reality a lot. The AI bubble needs to pop. For our own safety.

One of my best Christmas memories is racing my brother and older cousin in Pokemon Red and Blue at a family gathering. It wasn't much of a competition, but we did have a good time exchanging tips and sharing what Pokemon we found where. Can't beat those memories. :)

Finally got my hot little hands on an M2 SSD (specifically a Samsung EVO 2TB) and I just copied my Steam library over to it. I must say, Steam is VERY robust with how it handles its libraries. Once the copying finished, it found all my games like nothing ever happened....

Wow. Good on Capcom.

One thing EndeavourOS/KDE does that I find really endearing is that the task manager shows applications that are playing audio with an icon in the top right corner of the task. Even better, you can click the icon to mute audio playing from that app. Linux can be a pain, but it's so much fun.

While backing up stuff to my Google Drive, I unearthed a folder that contained my very first #Doom mod! Ah, what memories... Probably plays like shit now, but still, it was an excellent learning experience.

I love it when working on a new map for my game comes together...
