If we’re giving more capability to units and forcing them to fight up an echelon in time/space management…does this portend a slow death of the “operational level” war as BCTs/DIVs (tactical units) increasingly do “operational level” stuff (think out 72 hrs/100k+) and it all just becomes tactical?

From the POV of NTC OPFOR - yes. A few key reasons 1) Transparency is not guaranteed. Normal limitations/frictions of weather and enemy counter measures to defeat, destroy, or mislead your sensors exist. There’s a reason the grey zone in Ukraine shifts in depth every few months 1/x
