Just had the religious experience of seeing YI YI for the first time and in a cinema no less. Then came across Margaret Pomeranz's review - She thought it was 137 minutes long, not 173 and was running late for an appointment. She still gave it 4 stars.

It's such a strange phenomenon seeing a film super early that you actively had a horrible time with but just know everyone around you is gonna love when it's finally released. (A good thing/I'm very jealous).

Despite having watched all of them, there's very few films in this series that I genuinely like. With that said - I was also obsessed with FAST X and saw it 4 times in cinemas and had an absolute fucking blast each time. Still can't tell you why. This write up certainly made me feel less insane.

It is SO strange seeing 3-4 movies in cinemas this weekend and none of them being the new MISSION IMPOSSIBLE.

Working at NITV on the night of The Voice voting results and none of us expecting how many people would vote No was the coldest reminder to never get comfortable before the results of an election in Australia come through.

Event Cinemas Burwood Local suburban cinema I grew up watching films in, has barely changed in 25 years, every auditorium is massive and the whole place feels both nostalgic and haunted. Heaven.
