take away all my specific disability stuff.. the hardest part of adulthood for ME has been understand that work relationships are sometimes only work relationships.. i worked with people i adored and admired for about 2 years.. i can count on a single hand the number of people who still talk to me.

in one of those bad cycles where i want to say things.. have opinions.. push myself to do work again.. but i feel so small in comparison to the already polished voices out there who need work just as badly as i do. i wish i was better at demanding people read what i say but im just not.

kids in school used to think me having a laptop to write instead of a pencil was some kind of magic gift.. i can only manage about 15-20 WPM.. its never as big of a leg up as you think.

This is one of the reasons I would like to see more people leave X. It is genuinely an unsafe environment, particularly for vulnerable minorities and people within stigmatized niches like fandom

they made all the engagement buttons bigger when you click on a individual post.. its not actually a bad change but it does make you think you hit zoom on your browser

i think generally we need to stop using the term 'disrespectful' the way we currently do.. another pundit giving their opinion on something written for public consumption is not what disrespect actually is.

anything decent i ever wrote came from extensive edits. for a while i questioned why it was so hard to bounce back and get a job but its so clear that im not getting the green light because it's clear my writing would need editing.. certain people are just better at masking that fact.
