My post-election tradition is underway. Just visited my chiropractor & PT doc (who is a super horror fan-she's psyched about being gifted Eraserhead on VHS), now in the midst of a pedicure. I'm toasty and warm. As it should be.

I ❤️ election night when we see good results running in ...and this one is special because my term is officially up as a Judge of Elections: I just dropped off my returns to the county! The mayor & council president gave me flowers as I closed for the final time. It was very sweet!

My precinct has been steadily busy all day. Not slammed or anything, just not a steady stream of people without much in the way of lulls. That's unusual for a municipal year.

I woke up in a panic this morning because I was SURE it was Tuesday, I slept through my alarm, and was late to open the polls at my precinct. You know, normal anxiety around election day. I just set the alarm for tomorrow, but I doubt I'll sleep much tonight.

Horrible news. Teen Vogue has been a great political voice over the years.

Picked up the election materials for my precinct this AM (the sensitive equipment gets delivered in a sealed cage). There's one thing I'll miss when my term as Judge of Elections is over after Tuesday: getting a first-hand look at turn out. It's interesting to see who turns out by party.

FINALLY in my own bed. We landed in Newark around 5:30, but our Amtrak train back to Philly was delayed by over two hours. I'm so beat.

On our way home now from a week in Prague. The highlight was definitely lunch at Taro, which is a Vietnamese fusion restaurant. I also loved visiting the Sedlec Ossuary, as much for the adventure of navigating the Czech Republic regional trains as communing with the bone church itself. #travel
