So since the Iranians didn’t get Hegseth and Trump’s memo that the war was “terminated” what’s Congress doing now to ensure the standard bearers of the “law and order” GOP are following the Constitution in regards to war powers and funding?

Just for historical context, this was a pretty notable interaction between Wei Jia Jiang (the current president of the WH Press Association) and President Trump from the Covid Lockdown. Interesting to see how much their relationship has changed since then.

A hundred years ago, the U.S. had a nationwide network of short-line railroads that connected most urban and rural communities. By the 1940s, most of it had been dismantled ... by the barons of the auto and oil industries. 😑

i see people mocking the fast running robot like 'we have cars' but that misses the point. a car can't run you down and subdue you inside or in various non-road conditions. they're not making them faster than humans for athletic reasons.

I believe it would be beneficial to American if we were to take away the lifetime healthcare and pensions for elected representatives and made them find healthcare and benefits just like their constituents We have created lifetime of benefits for a job that was not meant to be a career Term limits!

Why are the politicians allowed to do this? Like they don’t do shit here in our country but be on vacation and recess and yet somehow get to travel the world and keep their health benefits and retirement/pension? We need to start paying them by the hour and having them clock the fuck in EVERYDAY

I don’t think we talk nearly enough about the fact that corporations like Amazon, don’t pay a single cent to maintain the roads they use, the transportation system they use, the courts they use, they pay nothing for the infrastructure that is absolutely critical to their business. WE Pay for

Just tried having Everlit use an AI voice to read me an article, 🫨 it was horrible. Mispronunciation a lot of words, put the emphasis in the wrong place and even seemed to “breathe” at the wrong time. Maybe AI won’t be taking many people’s jobs anytime soon. I got a headache from listening to it.
