Blade watched him take the piece of watermelon, the corner of his mouth lifting ever so slightly. "So compliant." His thumb lingered for the briefest moment as he brushed away a bead of watermelon juice from the corner of Dan Heng's mouth.

A warning seemed only reasonable. However... Himeko had called it a surprise. He looked at her expression, the quiet amusement, the genuine intent behind the gesture, and decided against it. This was Himeko's gesture to give. "...Then I won't tell her."

“You like seeing my reaction?” he echoed, crouching before him. Before Dan Heng could question him, Blade brought the piece of watermelon he had been given earlier to the dragon's lips. “Now, let me see yours.”

"I see... Then I suppose I have no reason to refuse." He's quiet for a moment before speaking again. "I'm sure Kafka will be thrilled to hear that." He might send her a message to warn her.

He was unfortunately completely correct. There was a whole myriad of things Dan Heng did that 'did things to him', this was just another to add to the list. Dan Heng possessed the annoying ability to find exactly where Blade’s restraint ended and then stand there looking very smug.

While Himeko's tone was playful, she wasn't simply teasing him. She was telling him that there was a place for him here, should he choose to take it. The only uncertainty was whether a specially tailored blend was meant to be a kindness or a punishment. "...Very well."

His gaze followed the movement of Dan Heng’s tail with far more attention than he intended to give it. “...You know well it isn't nothing. You're doing it on purpose now.” He's been figured out and he knows it.

"No..." Blade glanced briefly at the tail before returning his gaze to Dan Heng, loosening his hold around him so that he could turn to face him. "...It wasn't a complaint."

He paused for a little too long, glancing away, expression unreadable, though there was slight tension in his jaw. “...Nothing."

The rumble was faint, but Blade felt it everywhere they touched. Dan Heng was asking him questions while giving him answers at the same time. The rumble beneath his touch betrayed him. Not that Blade minded. "It's hard to argue with a tail wrapped around my waist."

He stood there in silence for a few seconds, staring at Dan Heng like his brain had briefly stopped processing information, before accepting the watermelon almost robotically. He's insanely attracted to this freak and trying not to show it. “...Noted.”

... He's also staring in surprise but not at the watermelon.

He wouldn't exactly say he 'liked' it, but could tolerate it. Himeko is important to Dan Heng. One of the people who gave him a place to belong. Blade, despite himself, wanted to make an honest effort. He had endured centuries of agony, mara-struck madness, physical torture and innumerable deaths.

The aroma alone was diabolical, yet he accepted the cup without hesitation. "Thank you..." He raised it to his lips and took a measured sip. His expression didn't so much as twitch as he lowered the cup onto the table with perfect composure.

"...You never miss an opportunity," he said, almost sounding like a complaint, though his gentle hands betrayed him, continuing their idle path over the smooth scales wrapped around his waist. After a brief pause, he added, "Compelling enough, I suppose."

They don't have any pensions to cancel, but he was sure she could get creative. His fingers stilled in their idle tracing for a short moment, resting a little more of his weight against Dan Heng's back, humming thoughtfully before answering.

She'd be fine, more than able to handle herself, and would not be long putting them in their place if they were to get on her nerves. "That's the idea," he remarked, fingertips idly and gently tracing the pattern of the scales on the tail coiled around his waist. "I don't come here for the train."

"Mn... Some space will do him good." He was with Yingxing, and some time around Silver Wolf would undoubtedly take his mind away from things. "I'm sure." Any aches or pains incurred were never too bad, nothing that his body's quick regeneration and some simple stretches couldn't take care of.

"Apparently not." Dan Heng made it sound cosy. For all the complaining he did about the dragon's floor-bed, he didn't actually mind it that much. "It's fine, no need to bother them with something like this. Unless you want your own space back."

"Just thinking?" He lowered his head, resting his chin against Dan Heng's shoulder. "...You're stuck with me for a few days. Those other two are staying at the apartment."

"Nothing." He hadn't seen him all day, is all. "What're you doing?"

He let his arms wind around Dan Heng's waist, hugging him from behind. "Hi."

"Wait here." Before resorting to summoning Sesame, Blade left briefly to retrieve one of Dan Heng's sweaters, placing it on the mat once he returned.

Cute but stubborn. Just like 𝘴𝘰𝘮𝘦𝘰𝘯𝘦. Not saying who. "Do I need to get Sesame over here?"

He breathed a small sigh, though would not be defeated. "You're missing out."

Not a bad start. He gave the pad a few pats, showing that it was safe.

... His brow furrowed slightly as he watched the cat roll back off it. Crouching next to the pad, he tried to entice Mochi to come investigate himself.

So close, and yet... He scoops Mochi up and places him on the mat.

Placing a cooling mat out for the cats. He'd have a look into upgrading the air conditioning on the Express if this weather got any hotter.

We'll see. (The lizard is indeed wonderfully flexible and stretchy. Blade, not so much, but can at least keep up. His back felt looser by the end of it.)
