"I suppose it depends on your definition of common, I suppose," Argenti admitted, watching Sunday look the rose over. "It is a common rose, though not so common in that it is a gift to you. In that case, it is the rarest rose in the world, because it is yours."

"As long at you are open to seeing it," Argenti admitted gently, "To some, they are so busy or despondent that they can not see what beauty is before their faces. They must truly stop to smell the roses."

Argenti could hear the cruel whispers, and he kept his eyes on Aventurine. For while looks could be deceiving, the knight knew monsters when he saw them and Aventurine was no monster. So he smiled softly at those flocking to him, politely acknowledging them before bidding farewell,
