"People were debating on whether you got your licence legitimately or not? Huh, weird..." He settled into the passenger seat, putting on his seatbelt and looking around the car before glancing back at Blade. The mention of World in Canvas was quite heavy to hear right now.

Dan Heng went to get into the passenger's seat. "No? I just didn't know you learnt to drive, is all."

Dan Heng looked surprised for a brief moment at the unlocked car. "Wait, when did you learn how to drive?"

Dan Heng took Blade's hand, letting himself be led away to the cold spring.

Nodding. "A cold soak would feel so good right about now..."

Whines because everything hurts. His scaled skin is doing its seasonal shed so there's bonus pain.

Dan Heng mumbled a brief greeting to the Warp Trotter (Bubbles), keeping himself close to Blade as he was carried through the entrance to his room. He released a soft snort in response to his lack of bed, mumbling about needing to remodel eventually, but he was happy enough with his archives.

Dan Heng bid the Conductor a soft goodnight as he was scooped up by his boyfriend and carried off into the archive room, his bedroom. He was so tired, leaning on Blade as he was carried through the cars to get to where the rooms were.

His expression was soft when Pom-Pom placed their paws on his knee. A reassuring look for the Conductor. He was here, he was alive and he would be okay. Dan Heng watched Pom-Pom and Blade talking quietly, almost falling asleep now he was somewhere safe and that he was alright.

Dan Heng had managed to overcome it, though not without getting a bit messed up physically. He knew he'd recover, but man. He flopped onto the couch, hearing the familiar patter of little feet. "I'm fine, Pom-Pom. We got rid of that monster..." He managed a weak smile.

"Oh. Uh... thanks Aha? Very cool..."

Dan Heng was just glad that things went alright today. He knew Shuhu had been trying so hard to get him to go on a full rampag, how painful it was. And Blade was forced to endure this every day, tempering himself to resist, to eventually purge it all.

Dan Heng nodded. He knew this, knew Blade could endure, that nothing like this could bring him down. But he was still worried about him, especially now he knew. All those times he'd faced the man, all the times he'd "killed" him only to glee. It hadn't been Blade, a passenger in his own body.

Dan Heng looked up at him, brow furrowed slightly in concern. "I... don't want you to suffer for my sake..." He whispered softly. "I don't want to risk losing you either... not when I finally got you back with me..." At the mention of Blade staying with him, he nodded slowly.

A shaky exhale left the dragon, burying his face into Blade's neck. A hand moved to rest over Blade's chest, feeling the heartbeat thumping underneath his fingertips. The trembling eventually calmed down as he focused on the present, the scent of Blade, his heartbeat, his warmth.

Dan Heng didn't resist, clinging to Blade with his face buried in the man's chest. It had been terrible. It was actually terrifying... and that was only with a brief amount of Shuhu's power... He was trembling hard, trying his best to calm down, knowing that Blade must be exhausted too.

Dan Heng remained slumped on the ground, jaws parted as he panted roughly from the sheer exertion and pain. He was still keeping his focus on stamping out the lingering whispers in his mind, eyes clenched shut as his lithe body shuddered.

'He is almost perfect. If only he'd stop fighting...~' Dan Heng shook his head with difficulty, not enjoying that slithery voice in his mind, leaving his mouth. He hated it, felt disgusting. But he refused to give in despite the whispers. Refused to let that thing win against him.

Dan Heng had been too busy tearing at himself to notice Blade's approach, the sharp growls and hisses echoing in the air as he tried to wrestle back his own mind. It hurt, the blooms and branches were making him so uncomfortable and achy as they bloomed from his flesh, feeding from him.

Dan Heng was not in the driver's seat in his own goddamn brain. Wrestling back control after being blindsided was... an experience, and one that he was struggling with. The damn cells were overwhelming, the blooms growing on his tail and arm where the buds had started up.

Dan Heng kept pacing around, only half listening to what was being said, because of the noise in his own head. Like static, but louder and more insistent. 'Don't get caught, he wants to kill you...' Dan Heng blinked at the vague voice whispering in his mind, squinting slightly.

"If you see me start to go all... dragon... . . . Run."

"Yeah... Blade said it might be an after-effect of the whole... Shuhu thing, but like... ugh..." He's shaking his head.

The dragon is pacing around in front of Blade, tail shaking and flicking. He was not panicking yet, but this was no good and definitely not fun. "I'm just... itchy. And my throat kinda hurts too..." He huffed, rumbling softly in stress without noticing it too much.

He released a low rumble, eyeing her cautiously as his tail twitched, shedding tiny yellow petals. "I don't think that will work... unless you put weedkiller in it..."

Dan Heng was just standing there with soft rumbles, uneasy as his scales where checked. He was staring in the distance, but when Blade spoke, his eyes went wide and he turned to face him. "You're saying I got... freaking... Shuhu infection on me?" He looked mildly freaked out.

Growling at nothing, scratching at his scales because he is so GODDAMN ITCHY. And apparently there's little flowers growing in his scales. Great. Love it here.

"Okay..." He resisted the urge to twitch his tail, exhaling softly. His tail was sensitive, but he trusted Blade. The larger male knew what he was doing, and if he was concerned... maybe it would've been wise to take heed.

"Not easily... but they're due to be shed soon anyway..." He tilted his head, before carefully nudging at one of the scales. He'd just assumed it was some kind of weird seasonal allergies.

He stopped turning around as Blade inspected his tail, the skin twitching slightly as he felt the itchiness he'd been feeling since this morning. "I mean, my scales have been itchy since this morning but it's not that bad?"

"Huh?" He turned around to look at his tail.

Shrugs, the flower was blown away by the wind. "Tree blossom. Springtime is like that."

His scales are still itchy. Blink blink, removes a weird flower from his tail. Yeets it, assumes it was a blossom from a tree.

Itchy scales. Rubbing his tail against a scratching post don't ask.
