I'm super excited about this prototype, so sharing some more deets! In Just Crumbs, each round, the Takers take a series of Cookies without the Baker looking, and the Baker must retrieve them back! After asking each Taker a question to be answered truthfully, the Baker will reveal cards (1/2) 🎲✂️

I took a break on an IP game I'm designing (shhhh, secrets, more on that when I can say) but I've got a new prototype! It's a cute little Push-Luck deduction game where 1 Baker has a tray of Cookies with different flavors and with values from 1-9.

I was recommended Kalandra by fans of Sleep Token, and it does not disappoint. Nordic metal ftw.

At least this tourney has given me some good time to work on my rulebook. I've been adequately lacking in motivation to work on it but it's taking my mind off of chess.

First game was a wash - I was so terrified of the scoresheet I forgot my clock most moves. Next game, concentrate on game, perform move, tap clock, write move. Like clockwork. You can do this Chris Chung. You may not win your group, but you can still be completely competitive. (Copium)

Last place is still a spot on the leaderboard. - Chris Chung, on the eve of a tournament he has no business winning but will attempt not to hang his rook in the first 15 moves, 2024.

Chess rhymes with stress. The irony isn't lost on me. Can I bring a stress ball to a tournament? Or is that against FIDE rules?

I also did some development on a new Scott Almes solo game, Wraith & The Giants! This is a great game that feels like Shadow of the Colossus, and has great story and art as well. Gonna enter in another classical chess tournament end of October, which means I have a month to study and prep futilely so I can lose to kids a third of my age because they've been coached by teachers twice my rating. Well, on the good side, it's a day off from work?
