Got this solar little water fountain to aerate my tadpole swamp and the warning says it might kill me if I use it too long or wrong. I’m doooomed.

Happy to (sort of) send this 6! Didn’t hold the top for long but I’m proud I used the volumes for my feet & matched feet on the higher one with no left hand hold. Alt text: Climbing a red indoor slab boulder. Tricky start with a sort of knee bar. Small holds and the feet are fairly steep volumes.

I made some scary mermaids last night. Will show you later. My art skills are pretty poor these days… be warned. In other news, I have about 3000 tadpoles in my fountain and water-bins (literally bin bins filled with rainwater and plants). 🌱

My little friend. Not so little… 🐸 For the past few years I’ve helped the local frog population with suitable large bins full of water 💦 for their tadpoles. Now we have lots of frogs. Makes for some noisy nights…

Yesterday our power was off and on twice and it was pretty tiring. Glad I got the morning climbs in. Here’s some of the rope climb… I didn’t quite make the very top. The resting frog position was pretty comfy.

Today at climbing a young guy asked me if I knew the (I'm pretty sure he said) "meta" for a climb. Erm. We talked about the climb & then he asked other people for the meta on it. Maybe he didn't want the beta. Maybe he actually wanted to know where we were, why we were there and... bigger things.

Awesome weekend of eating, editing & falling off things! Climbed the hardest climbs ever (right where I learned to lead 8 years ago!) and then did my first lot of edits for my novel *Staerstone* (IFWG Publishing). Wonder if I can still be climbing at twice this age? 🤔🤣

Climbing training day tomorrow! It’s a lead comp simulation, so we get to climb the routes and get feedback and then try them again. They’ll be hard cause everyone is climbing them: A, B, u19s & masters. Can’t wait to hang out with friends and get pumped 🤩🧡 🧗‍♀️

This was an interesting boulder because most of us found it reachy at some point. The third last hold is super positive, so I skip the shitty second last hold.

Chatted with my publisher AND… my cover is in the pipeline & I’ll have the first chapter of ‘Staerstone’ available as a little booklet to give out at Supanova Brisbane. A new character appeared in my novel & I love them. The novel makes more sense. Suddenly the story mechanics are working better ... the cogs are turning, the gears fit.

This climb took forever… It was slow and tricky, but I managed to flash it. It’s suddenly hot in Queensland so shirts off! The soundtrack is my friends talking about their short haircuts and what sort of face short haircuts suit. 🤣🥰
