Sometimes writes, mostly draws. Sometimes for money, mostly for my own amusement.
pinned post!
Should probably re-introduce myself since I'm probably going to start using this more than the other place. Hi, I'm Kev! And I'm a very lazy comic-creator. Among other things. Should also properly work how this place works... I think I've got it... Anyway, here's some of my work...

Good morning, posted this on insta yesterday. Making comics again. Here's some non-spoilery world-building WIP art of a prime minister being possessed by a Sauron-like Dark Lord!

So I just watched the Masters Of The Universe trailer and... I dunno it looks fine, I suppose? Only thing I know for certain is that Skeletor's looks is just giving me Money Supermarket flashbacks. Which probably isn't a good thing...

What's worse, everyone? Christmas adverts or the new year's gym/ dieting/ general resolution ones? Somehow I think the new year's ones just edge it out. I've spent most of December mostly tired or binging either beer or food. What makes you think I'd want to do any of the self improvement right now?

Been an odd year in some respects. Did some acting on an independent feature film. Got three things in print. An art book, a comic I've been wanting to get in print for a while and some art for a book a friend of mine wrote. And got to table with some lovely people at this year's TBubz!

My best comic of 2025 is YOUR comic. The one/s you made this year. Wether you were published by the big 2, indie/self published, showed it to friend or to no one at all, YOU made something. You CREATED something. This is commendable, worth championing & makes the world a better place. You win.

Not doing any sort of daily prompt challenge this year. Not much time for things like that atm. Anyway, here's something bigger I'm working on between projects, or at least as warm up/ cool down stuff. Gonna colour this too.

Attempted some digital painting and an album cover parody for this week's Summer of Ska thing. Anthrax's Fistful Of Metal cover parodied for a pic about Ska-metallers, Redeemon! Go listen to their awesomeness! Like a ska-cover of Metallica's Blackened!

Trying to get some Jack Kirby vibes in this incredibly late entry for my Summer Of Ska thing... Here's The Aquabats! If this works I'll post the lineart as a separate thing. I think the file for this was accidentally bigger than I thought...

Wow, my first late post on this completely relaxed Summer of Ska thing... Meh, I've had a busy week, deal with it. Anyway, two days late, here's week 5! Voodoo Glow Skulls! I'd explain this, but I am tired.

Felt like drawing some TMNT-related stuff. Here's some fanart for The Last Ronin! Full coloured one, a screentone one and of course, the old line art. Might have gone a bit too dark on the colours...

Day early for this week's Summer Of Ska thing. This week was the Mad Caddies. Here's a take pn the album art for their album, 'Keep It Going'. Had fun with this, even if I need to practice how to make the finished piece look like a photo. And drawing Tubas/ Sousaphones...

You've been kidnapped/ The characters from the last TV show you watched are coming to rescue you. Either I'll be rescued and they'll have turned it into some ridiculous race or challenge. Or I won't be rescued at all. Either way, it'll be ambitious but rubbish...

Kids today will never know how it feels to own a copy of Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom taped off the TV at Christmas and you've watched it fifty times so you know the order of the adverts off by heart and you just flat-out watch them every time.

Honestly I think a lot of the elder millennial depression comes from having been about 13 during the summer of ska and gradually coming to terms with the fact that was a blip not an evolution over the subsequent years.

Is it just me or is YouTube infected with some sort of spam ad from this same twatty tech bro-type trying to con me into using some ai bollocks? I keep saying "stop showing me this sort of shit" and yet I'm still seeing his incredibly punchable face popping up.
