Semi-retired broadcast journalist who still believes in the Constitution and hope for democracy.
Much ado about Congress voting the release of the Epstein documents. People are very excited. How much will actually be released? How much will these documents be redacted? My BIG question: are these the only copies of the documents, photos and related evidence? If not, who’s holding them?

There’s so much going on that it can be overwhelming. We are witnessing the dismantling of our government and society. And we move closer to a totalitarian regime. We need to not forget to have moments of peace and self-care.

Core MAGA supporters don’t care what FOTUS is doing to the US. All they care about is defeating and humiliating liberals. - I’m paraphrasing from a post I read the other day. These are people who disregard the consequences of this regime’s actions. They want to destroy liberals no matter what.

Today, we witness a regime erasing our history - eliminating the memory of heroic Americans because of their color or gender. We must preserve history, no matter how good or horrible. Listen to the horrors of Nazi Germany as Edward R Murrow reports. Never forget.

What is wrong with people who cannot accept factual information because they unflinchingly hold their conspiracy theories and lies from FOTUS? Even if what they believe makes absolutely no sense?

What are the chances we might see a “Wag the Dog” scenario in the coming year? The economy is heading into the dumpster. FOTUS approval ratings are tanking. What better time for a war? Meanwhile, Leon Muskrat is bouncing around on a stage with a cheese hat.

I had the displeasure of renting a car from a local Hertz rental location. They gave me a Tesla with a nearly empty battery and instructions to a charging station. Made me 30 minutes late for a meeting. BTW, Teslas suck. Too many steps just to adjust the mirrors. Horrible car.

(1/3) It needs repeating: in 1994, Ukraine was persuaded to give up its nuclear weapons to Russia in return for the US, the UK, and Russia guaranteeing Ukraine’s sovereignty, security, and territorial integrity.

Three years ago I was working at a tv station in Sarasota. I was in my office. I was stunned. I needed to get on the air about this. I managed to get a local expert on Ukraine. A cohost declared this wasn’t a “local story” and people didn’t care. I moved ahead. It continues to deeply affect us.

Can a country “own” another sovereign state and remove 1.8 million residents? Is ethnic cleansing still a thing? Asking for a friend.

After almost 14 years, hundreds of posts, reconnecting with friends and making new ones, I’ve finally had enough of Facebook. What was once a platform for engaging with friends has turned into a toxic cesspool of lies and propaganda. I hope my friends find me here.

A question for those who know a lot more than I. Is this part of the 47/Project 2025 plan to clog up the entire court system with lawsuits? Then appeal to the Supreme Court where the deck is stacked in their favor?

We worked for months with USAID to build an $85,000,000 project to end TB in two regions of the Philippines. The project is funded by private money, the Philippine government, and matching USAID funds. It could provide a blueprint for eliminating TB worldwide--except it's...not happening.

I refer to several of my friends my “chosen family”. They’re the people who are your cheerleaders. They are honest with their opinions. I am so lucky to have people like them in my life. I hope everyone has a “chosen family.”
