This is a mural I did in a bathroom in Key West, Florida. They kinda let me do whatever I wanted and this happened. Makes going to the bathroom fun :)

It’s my Husband’s Birthday today. He lives in Portugal and I live in Florida so over WhatsApp I sang happy Birthday in Portuguese with his family and did a shot of Limoncello and they released balloons with people’s pics that couldn’t be there. I hope to be there soon. Happy Birthday Handsome

“Mango man” - watercolor on paper. Mango season here there are so many I always get a few bags put on my door to my apartment. I don’t like mangoes by themselves but I chop them up and freeze them for Ice tea and make mango chutney which is AWESOME on pork chops.

Pet portrait demonstration for the Anne McKee artist fund. Years ago and they are still raising money thru their auction which gives money to local artists for projects, art supplies. It is a good program. I worked with them for years . I was on the board. NEVER PUT ME ON ANY BOARD !!!

Sending a message could be a good idea and buying local from locally owned stores makes total sense to me.

Wild donkeys of Bonaire. They were brought here to haul the salt and when machines took over they were just left. They built the Donkey sanctuary which was awesome!!! I spent my travel money on carrots 🥕

"Having a ball" - Watercolor pet portrait. Old painting I did many years ago. I learned something from this piece. The movement of water and color changes in the water. They are a reflection of what is going on above.

“In the mangrove “ - watercolor on paper…..there is no white paint in watercolor so you have to save the white of the paper. You carve the color around the white.

"Great Dame" - Old watercolor of a dog that walked by my studio in Vermont. I ran out and asked the owners if they could come in so I could paint their dog. She walked in and laid right down and modeled for me. The original sold to a husband and wife Vet team in California.

Snorkeling in a bait ball in Dry Tortugas. Good sized Tarpon swam by and grabbed lunch…lucky to get the shot.

I have been this person my whole life. It isn’t intentional but I guess I can only focus on a small number of people at a time. I prefer solitude, quiet, and space to feel comfortable. It is hard to explain to people and harder for them to understand.

Just when I was ready to give up on human beings an amazing card arrives that reminds me I did change people’s lives while I was here. Thank you for the card it really made me smile !

I always thought they should teach two languages early in school . I bet they wish they did now. Americans we just want people to speak English…..well guess what ?! Now you’re old and if I were you I would start studying! I suggest a language that is spoken in a country that will take you :)
