Trump said five cities are potential targets for federal or military law enforcement actions: New York, Chicago, Los Angeles, Baltimore, and Oakland. What do these cities (plus D.C.) have in common? They are currently led by Black mayors. This isn't practical law enforcement. It is racism.

Nearly 2,000 people have been held at the Baltimore facility so far this year, 3x the number in all of 2024. As many as 100 people were detained at the same time in May and June in cells without permanent beds and showers, ICE reported in court documents.
