I had the pleasure of reviewing three fantastic books for Survival this year: Robert Chesney and Max Smeets’ Deter, Disrupt, or Deceive; James Shires’ The Politics of Cybersecurity in the Middle East; and Jeffrey Ding’s Technology and the Rise of Great Powers. First 50 copies free.

Has anyone else tried the free Apple Vision Pro demos? I was deeply skeptical heading in, and left amazed. Curious how others are thinking about them in the context of reimagining their work flows (though the entertainment/immersive aspects of images and videos is pretty amazing as well).

The US recently conducted a cyberattack on an Iranian spy ship in the Red Sea intended to sabotage Iran’s intel sharing with Houthis rebels. It is unclear how successful the operation was, but notably the reporting here is a very rare disclosure of a remotely executed covert operation.
