Re: Google having to sell Chrome. Many have criticized this decision, but for the first time in a while, there could be genuine buyers in the market who aren’t part of Big Tech like OpenAI or Perplexity. I’m not so sure this is a bad thing.

Bloomberg reports that all three major AI labs are encountering limits to scaling. It might just be BS, so we’ll have to wait and see. Personally, though, I think maintaining the current pace of progress might be challenging.

I’m not, like, a Bluesky evangelist or anything. I’m not even sure it’s gonna stick for me here. But one thing that dropping the other place for now made clear is just how much my brain spent the last few years getting slowly frog boiled by an algorithm designed to poison you for anger engagement.

A big issue with X is the “new” algorithm. Personally, I'm not overly political, so when the election frenzy kicked in, I muted around 100–200 political keywords from both sides—terms like “Trump,” “Harris,” and so on.
