Were 90s kids clamoring for a Batman cartoon with 1930s Art Deco aesthetics? Is that what the market demanded? Or did some really smart creative people have a vision and make a genre-defining hit that sustained 20 years of TV shows? If you want success look for vision, not just metrics.

I think that Cars 2 probably should've been called "Mater's Tallest Tale" (referencing the "Mater's Tall Tales" shorts that came out before Cars 2 came out,) or even just "Mater" or something, which would've left Cars 3 open to being the real Cars 2, since it already felt like it was imo, lol

I would use the spilt screen function on my android phone way more if things didn't get super cluttered the second I tried to type anything with the on-screen keyboard tbh. ...actually that could've been a big selling point for physical slide-out keyboard phones, or even the ill-fated LG Wing, lol.

I feel like 2025 was more of a mourning/ grieving year for the country, but 2026 has to be the year we dust ourselves off and collectively start the long process of fixing all this shit.

heads up that bluesky doesnt show posts from other languages by default on your timeline, and its cutting you off from a lot of the community go to bsky.app/settings/lan... and deselect any language from this setting, or else you might not see any of the new japanese users at all!

Watched a French-dubbed clip of Smiling Friends and they really left Glep untouched, using his original audio like he was Pikachu-level vocal royalty or something and I just think that's hilarious if that's how all the other dubs are also doing it.

Everytime I watch a movie produced by Sony, its like peering into an alternate timeline where Sony as a general electronics brand never lost steam in the US after the 90s, & everyone here naturally latched onto Sony phones out of prior Walkman brand loyalty instead of getting Apple or Samsung phones
