Fire at #COP30 we think it was in the arts and culture pavilion behind the African pavilion. It got worse when it hit the roof. I was down the other end by the green zone.

In case you're wondering just how far corporate lobbyists have gone to get into COP30 to push the idea that AI will solve climate change (and never you mind about all the energy it guzzles)....

3 years ago today I submitted my PhD thesis. I was lucky at the time I had my dream job lined up. Fast-forward now with lots of flip-flops, I am taking a year out of academia to decide what I want to do, at @rmets.org in a diverse cover. If you have any advice, please share.

To clarify the influence of heat on maternal health focuses mostly on the baby. There's not much UK research published for either group at all. But globally a 2023 study by former colleagues found we don't even appear to know how breast milk changes during heat.

I remember once talking about the COP process and surprising myself because we were trying to get a logo through a consortium vote at the same time and it was so tricky. I saw so many similarities with acting on climate. It's in all systems.
