Our infrastructure isn’t ready for what’s coming.

My anxiety has been way up the past few weeks and I don’t know why. We’ve had good swell, favorable winds, heck even the folks out fishing for crab have been stoked! Kinda looking forward to the next atmospheric river so I can get messy and roar it out.

Mr Waves nearly went blind on one eye due to shingles. Having had it, and later the vaccine, he can safely say Shingles is much much worse than the vaccine. He was in so much pain with shingles. With the vaccine he felt blah for a day. Shingles was weeks of misery and his eye took a year to heal.

Went for a brief ramble as the sun set, watching the kite surfers catch their final waves.

The elephant seals have returned to Drakes Beach in Point Reyes. Amazing to think about how far they came to get back here. This guy pulled up to find an absolute tank alpha male in the ice plant waiting to greet him.

Powerful to rally today with several hundred teachers, families, and community members in support of West Contra County teachers! Our community supports the strike and will be out in the streets every day until teachers get a fair contract.

The vast majority of it is less than 15-20 feet deep. It’s a flooded river valley; during the last glaciation roughly 20K years ago, the shoreline was west of the Farallones!

One of my neighbors has been putting up these fish facts posters. All kinds of different fish, marine, freshwater, deep, shallow, all kinds. This is a good one. “Stg this real fish” took me out. Good work, neighbor.
