On #tdih in 1974, the Carnation Revolution took place when a bloodless, anti-colonial military coup in Lisbon overthrew the Portuguese Estado Novo regime which had been waging unpopular wars to maintain its African colonies.

No law enforcement officer operating in Connecticut—federal, state, or local—can wear a mask on duty. ICE and CBP agents have to show their faces and badges. And when an officer assaults someone recording them, commits false imprisonment, false arrest, or malicious prosecution, they lose immunity.

On #tdih in 1914, the Ludlow Massacre occurred when the Colorado National Guard & a private security force attacked 1,200 striking coal miners, killing 21 people. The event took place during the Colorado Coalfield War, a period of violent labor unrest in Colorado from 1913-1914.
