On Sunday evening, a 6.0 magnitude #earthquake hit #Afghanistan, killing more than 800 people and injuring over 2,000. Cordaid Afghanistan’s local partners are on the ground, supporting UN teams as they assess the damage and identify needs: a crucial first step toward emergency relief.

An earthquake has struck Afghanistan late last night. So far, at least 622 have been reported killed and damage is extensive. All local DRC staff are accounted for and well. DRC team has deployed teams to Kunar and Nangahar provinces for initial assessments for response.
