TR-49's code-cracking deduction will keep you up at night

Our acclaimed narrative deduction / audio drama, TR-49, is out now on Nintendo Switch! Sadly, some performance issues have been found in the later part of the game that weren't evident on the dev hardware we used for testing. We've submitted an expedited patch to fix it. Blasted vacuum tubes!

My literal favourite thing about running a small studio: we can make things better overnight. - If you found the TR-49 screen uncomfortable to read / focus-on, try the new Reduce Glitches setting; it's significantly crisper / easier to read. - And if you hate helpful games, try Reduce Hints mode.

For me, one thing that made this a great launch was how we teased it, blurring the lines of reality and fiction in the marketing. I'd spent the summer going down the rabbit hole of My Chemical Romance's Black Parade tour & loved the idea of creating a sort of ARG around the game launch.

In TR-49, a record of history is so distorted and revised by language that figuring out the truth becomes a puzzle. Will historians be able to figure out what is happening to us today when we’ve trained ourselves to speak in careful codes? My review. www.polygon.com/tr-49-review/
