"Britain’s First Past the Post electoral system is hopelessly ill-equipped to translate multiparty politics into a rational distribution of parliamentary seats," writes @rafaelbehr.bsky.social FPTP means chaos. The only solution is Proportional Representation.

The ailment has been correctly diagnosed but the cure - a reformed electoral system giving us PR - is not mentioned in this letter. We need Proportional Representation in place BEFORE the next election, or our economy will remain in the doldrums for another generation to suffer under.
