Given how mindbogglingly vast wage theft is versus literally all forms of robbery and burglary combined, the entire system would crash to a fucking halt the instant people simply refused to work for free.

It is *extremely* normal for an autistic person to be doing the job of 3 other people, with hours of off-the clock work, and not even notice it. And then get absolutely fucked over, over something just as unnoticed.

For autistic people, wage theft is the absolute norm. You're more likely to have your job expand far beyond its description, to voluntarily take on unpaid labor, to be persuaded by appeals to empathy for coworkers who'll be affected by you saying no, etc

My greatest gen grandma went by her middle name, then changed back to her first name her last year of life. My very feminine, boomer mother goes by her maiden name initials, which spells what would be considered a man's name. My boomer father and most of his Cuban family went by Spanish nicknames.

Everything back in its place! Still a lot of work to do, but I'm so pleased with how this turned out.

Picture rail in action! I really love this method of hanging frames - no holes in the wall, easy to make small adjustments, and I have the flexibility of changing out my artwork (which I have already done since resetting this room).

SHE’S FINISHED! My 5-foot-long Enterprise D oil painting is complete after nearly 100 hours of work! I remember being 13 years old or so and trying to draw her and it was so hard, and all I wanted was to be able to do something like this. Truly a dream come true. 🥰🖖

Here’s some sketches exploring one of my ideas for the creature from “The Terror” by Dan Simmons, and how I imagined it could work as a supernatural element while still able to be mistaken for a polar bear at a glance or in the distance~

Ran out of wallpaper paste, but I got almost half the room done, very close to my 3-day redecorating goal. Will wrap up next week. Come spring, baseboards need painting in red or gold. Also gonna paint casing of each window gold. Now to clean and reset this room.

Nothing like putting up trim to learn your ceiling isn't plumb. Got a 1 cm wall height deviation, so I need to carefully plan the last few pieces. (It should be pretty much unnoticeable once wallpaper and decor is up.)
