I had a strong hunch that Jill wasn't exactly a "high faith in humanity" type of person, but damn. One step outside of the safety of home, and she can't help but notice there's a lot way too wrong, and way too reminiscent of the worst she's experienced. (I relate much more than I wish I did.)

Today (and a lot more often than I'd like to admit), my brain feels like it's behaving like a cranky child, screaming and kicking and crying over feeling too bored, but anything I think to do about it just makes it worse. Just...incurably restless and uninspired. I hate it.

I feel like I probably should have shared Harpocrates' final notes in Logos before making any commentary on his perspective, as he himself comes to the same conclusion about it. (I've come to believe that my jumping right into a critique of a character's perspective risks seeming...disingenuous.)
