Finally finished Peso on my Katamari scarf. This means I’m past the halfway point of the scarf. I’m still a few days behind but if I keep going at this pace I might clear the fifth chart next week

I had a “treat yourself” moment this week and got myself a set of Chiagoo shorties. I got them hoping it would help me with my tension issues when it comes to color work socks. I actually am enjoying knitting with these rather than the fixed version I had used in the past

Second finish of the year and my first pair of socks from hand spun. The fiber is targhee dyed by Kim Dyes Yarn that I picked up last year’s MDSW. Pattern is my own vanilla socks. The three singles were plied during stream (but of course I don’t have a photo of the finished yarn). Still love them!

I’ve been a big quiet over here but it’s because we are going through a few big and exciting changes. Because of that I’m going to make one more spindle update this weekend and then some time in the next week or two I’ll be shutting down the shop until the end of the month.

My latest obsession. I forgot the name of the booth I purchased this but I got it at this year’s MD sheep and Wool. This is just a small part of a sweater spin and I can not put it down. I just started this on Monday and the Spindle is just about full!

I’m behind on my spindle update this week. So instead I’m going to list three spindles that are from a batch last year. These were on display in the shop at work. Since these are from 2024 they will be listed at $50 usd (the price for current spindles is $55.00).

I am going to get this ply done today. I got a crazy amount spun yesterday while visiting family. That means I’ll be able to ply my three turtles together soon, completing this sock spin. It also means I’ll be able to start my sweater spin this week.

This morning’s spin on our am walk was very productive. I’m spinning the last ply for my three ply sock spin. I really want to finish this and get my spindles cleared so I can start on my giant sweater spin.

My sister painted this Space Marine for me when she was in town. I just added a light blushy wash over the pink and finished the base. Only a field of flower for him to frolic through with his super soaker will do

One of several highlights of the festival happened early Saturday morning. A gentleman came upH to the booth and told me that he had visited my Etsy shop and loved the things that I made. He then handed me three gorgeous pieces of rose wood from his father to make something lovely🥹.

I’m back from MD Sheep and Wool. I did not take a single photo of the booth because we were busy from the very start of day one. I did manage to get some goodies and my only meal at the festival was my yearly corn dog. Tired but so happy

This is what happens when I’m following a pattern for the first time on stream. Here is the first sleeve on top of the second sleeve of a sweater I’m knitting. Opps… Instead of my usual spinning stream, tonight I’m going to preform some surgery and insert the missing section. Wish me luck🤞🏻

I’m in my “almost 50 but in denial” era so I had my amazing stylist put a chunk of dark pink in my hair today.

I adore the misconception that librarians do nothing but read all day. How cute. How quaint. How disrespectful of all the work I do on the daily to help the community by providing resources, services, information, a clean & safe environment, & a compassionate ear to your woes. But whatever.

I don’t normally use fancier woods for spindle shafts but I was given a stick of leopard wood to turn. It wasn’t until I put finish on that I saw how cool it is. Look at those leopard spots!

I felt the need to card up some fiber to start another larger spin. I made one batt on tonight’s stream. I wasn’t sure about the blend at first but after putting it through a second time I’m all for it.

What I’m working on I watch wrasslin’ and the Mr stream Monster Hunter. It’s the Key Cardigan tee by Lindsey Degen. I’m using Rosa Pomar’s Brusca for the first time and loving it. Cross fingers I get it done before MD Sheep and Wool.

Wanted to see how much fiber I could fit on one of my spindles and this was the results. Behemoth is what I called this chunky boi. The fiber was purchased at last year’s MD Sheep and wool. The vendor was Autumn House Farms. It’s a BFL silk Blend. 1.5oz and after washing it’s about 142 yards
