Trump said D.C. Mayor Bowser's ratings have gone up for cooperating with his administration, citing unspecified data. Our mid-August Post-Schar School D.C. poll found Bowser's approval rating was 53%, same as in May. 48% said she should do more to oppose Trump

This Spring, 50% of D.C. residents said crime was an extremely or very serious problem down from 65% in 2024 and 56% in 2023, according to Washington Post-Schar School polls. 21% said it was the city's biggest problem, down from 36% in 2022 to 21% this year
