Maybe what I want out of games that I wish more developers took into consideration is that I don’t want to be told a story. I want to make a story. Give me the tools and the world and let me have an experience I’m going to talk about that’s totally different from player 2 or 3.

I think the point I’m trying to make is the argument that video games take too long to make is a pointless argument because I’m not going to remember the game that took 7 years for a flat story that went nowhere. I’m going to remember Peter Shorts and how the government ruined his grill.

I think the argument that studios have to use AI to make games because it takes 700 years or whatever is because y’all aren’t making video games anymore.

I'm still making my way through the Pokemon ZA DLC but I love how absolutely unhinged it is compared to the main game. Main game quests are like "show me this pokemon so I can make perfume" DLC quests are "Give me 1 million dollars asshole" or "I FUCKIN HATE BIRDS" It's great

I finished Skate Story. It was good, but the entire 6 hours I felt like I was fighting the controls because they had to be legally different from THPS and Skate and some of it felt very clunky. My only other complaint is sometimes the visuals worked against what the game wants you to do.

I'm just waxing nostalgic about old video games now. Nothing has really captured that feeling of something like playing Pokemon during 2nd grade and discovering missingno. Buying Incredible Crisis for like $10 at a funcoland and convincing my friends at the time they need to play it.

I'm convinced the modern video game fan does not actually like video games and would much prefer a movie instead.

Watching a video on how good Megaman Battle Network's system is made me realize the games I like and want to play will never be made again because nobody is willing to take a chance anymore in favor of UE5 slop because UE5 slop sells to the greater market.
