i am really loving marathon. i expected to enjoy it a bit just cause i grew up on halo shooting and played [redacted] hours of destiny, but it's really super fun. i've never played an extraction shooter before so maybe it's just a good formula and this is a basic one, but im still enjoying it a lot

finished re9, im going to play through it again but i think its not just the best resident evil since the original re4, but may actually be the best thing capcom has released since re4. i enjoyed every part of it from the start to end

really liking re9, i only have a few complaints so far and for me talking about resident evil thats a pretty big compliment. lot of stuff i didn’t expect and the game has been surprisingly funny so far. i really didn’t see that coming, but it doesn’t harm the atmosphere

im not surprised they turned it down tbh, the remakes they make have been pretty weak. i think people are wowed by visuals very easily so long as they can see the work on the page, but none of their remakes have captured even a fraction of the emotion of the originals

i think the best way i can describe the re4 remake is if the same team and director had been told to make the original re4 there would be no re4 remake. and i know that because a bunch of that team (including one of the directors) made re5 which capcom has already said they aren’t remaking

i think we need a new console, one that doesn’t support normals or pixel shaders. just meshes and textures, low poly ceiling, basic lighting support, etc. ps2, dreamcast, you know the type, but easy to release new games on

i took a chance on a few games recently: cronos the new dawn, silent hill f and crisol theatre of idols. of them i definitely enjoyed crisol the most and while i usually don't factor in price when considering my enjoyment, a linear narrative action game like that being 20 dollars is wild
