Book #29: An antiwar surrealist "novel" from 1941 that suffers from the Joyce disease- few of us mortals can explore all the possibilities of the novel without it becoming incoherent. I think Henry Miller loved this one for it's intense honesty. I found it occasionally brilliant & a bit of a slog.
