In all seriousness, I'd love to see a reporter try to get comments from all of these people about their initial impulse to declare a literal war on half of their fellow citizens and to see if any of them regret it, apologized for it or learned anything at all from it.

I am still in a public debate about whether it’s a good idea to encourage evangelical couples to have lots of children as a missionary effort. I am stunned by the admission that Christians can’t recruit believers, so they must reproduce. It’s basically to say evangelicalism is dead as a movement.

I made *another* person mad and ended up being the object of an angry column in a conservative Christian newspaper the other day.

Marched with our academic union for the Oslo May Day parade. There was a huge turnout and it was great to see support for American universities and scholars.

I made someone mad. A journalist asked me to comment on an interview where a Christian author said Christians should have many children in order to dominate society. I said it smelled like "positive eugenics" and that it could turn children into weapons in an ideological battle.
