I love this because it’s like us, going to the gods for help when we’ve run out of all natural options, not knowing if they’ll help us or kill us and wear us as a scarf, but hoping they help us because that’s what it means to have faith. Weirdly.

For those who use a shopping service for groceries, today will be busy. But Monday and Wednesday will be worse. And the Sunday after Thanksgiving is so busy, I'd avoid it if possible. When the store is busy, so are the shoppers. It's likely things will get marked out of stock even if they aren't.

The other day, I heard a cat crying to get in. Thought it was next door since that cat conveys with the house. Now it seems to be coming from upstairs. It's the very insistent yowl of impatience and now Bernie is meowing backup.

I should leave for my writing group soon. I don't know if it's seasonal, or that I can't seem to find a way to drag myself back to writing, or lack of sleep ennui. I just don't wanna. Yes, I need the social time. Yes there are people I want to see. But I'm not in the mood to be polite to the others

I miss tanking until 5 am with her.

I found a mac&cheese casserole in the freezer, which sorted dinner until I leave. I made a packet of frozen broccoli to go with it. Except, after it was cooked, it turned out to be spinach instead. 😭 I don't even know why I had spinach in there!

Just got a call asking for "Cosmo or [Ex's name]." I took peverse satisfaction in telling her that Cosmo was the name he used when he didn't want calls like this, and no, she couldn't talk to him. He's dead. It's been almost 3 years. How am I still getting these calls?

I skivved off work early on Friday. But instead of waiting until Monday to tell him that I "forgot to clock out," I just texted him at home. Adds verisimilitude. 😉🤫

Does it count if I have to replay it because I wasn't paying attention the first time? If so, all of them.

Watched 2 contractors cut a metal pipe. No safety gear, not even eye wear. They were squatting down on the concrete. 1 balanced an end of the pipe on his sneakered foot and holding. The other also had it on his foot as he cut. Frankly amazed that there were no injuries.

I asked him to come back. I told him that if Evil Diva starts bullying me again, it's going to be a big problem.

I had a talk with Boss about the changes Evil Diva wants to implement. He agreed a lot of it was unnecessary. But he still doesn't understand that the number of work orders I can process per month is only ~2/3 of what I'm supposed to.
