Boss & I are going to Costco tomorrow to get stuff for the team lunch on Wed. We're going home early Thurs. Off Fri & Mon. Going to Wilmington Tues to onboard new guy. Short weeks with the same amt of work. Plus end of month stuff. I'll need to keep my door closed & put a Fuck Off note on it.

I'm going to take a shower, do neck exercises, and probably go to bed.

I admire the engineering that goes into flat-pack furniture. They're easy* to put together. The instructions for this one were better than the last two. *The actual construction part. It's the weight I struggle with.

I got it this far, but I need help. There are 12 more screws to go in the back. My power screwdriver just strips the screws. My ratcheting one is broken. And I have no hand strength left.

My nightstand was made from shipping boxes for men's hats. Not sure of the age. I refinished it as my Covid-lockdown project. I love it. (Even though Dort can open the latch.) My dresser is also an antique but I think this is older.

It was in a strip mall in a sketchy area. A few stores down, there was a "massage parlor." My brother (21) was in charge for the lunch shift. Other brother (18) helped out during the summer. Bear in mind, this is a buffet restaurant. All you can eat, but you can't take leftovers with you.

My rug is back! It looks great. But the rug pad is a little big. Not a lot, but it was expensive and I was told it would be cut to fit. The guy who laid it out said "I don't know who told you that. Rugs can shrink a little in cleaning." It might get better as the rug eases. If not, I'm complaining.

Why my dad, a born and bred Scotsman, wanted to open a country/western restaurant puzzles me to this day. We wore red gingham shirts with pearl snaps and jeans. I think I was 12 or 13 at the time, waiting tables and cashiering.

This morning, I noticed that I no longer fall back asleep after the 1st alarm goes off. Today, I actually was awake enough to get up before the 2nd alarm. The cpap must be doing its job and I'm getting better sleep.

I made a 72-pound error. I'm not assembling my new bookcase until after the rug is in place. Since I need to make sure everything goes in the right place, I wanted to use the top piece to show the size. The rug needs to be under it by 3" & under my recliner across the room. 1/

I got an email on my govt account that was obviously phishing, so I reported it. And to no one's surprise, it was a test from IT Security. Those are the only ones I get at work. And they're so fucking obvious! Quit wasting my time!

Nope. The jeans are the same size I get from that brand and they didn't fit. And even though they're labeled "short," they're too long. The work pants-"petite"- were 8" too long!

New clothes arrived! After I take my shower, I'll try them on. I really hope the jeans fit.

One callback led to another call, and that led to (probably) very bad news. The woman I spoke with wasn't sure about answers and the person who handles it is out of the office.
