Adam was caught off-guard at the question but he never really talked to too many people. "I have been traveling, trying to get to know about people and their cultures," he said honestly.

Listening to the young lady's own story angered him *for* her. It was enough to be able to sympathize but he couldn't imagine what she must be feeling. To not be wanted, for your creator to not even want to make you in the first place. +

His eyes light up at the generosity of the other. He gives a soft smile before beginning to tuck into the omelette. "It's delicious. Thank you."

The smell of food wafted to his nose and he closed his eyes. It's been so long since he's had a warm meal. "What is this?" he asked.

"I only *look* scary. Unless you piss me off."

He grinned toothily, nodding as he picked up a large vase. This was sure to smash the damned painting off of the wall. He studied the portrait of the young lady's creator, sneering to himself. Adam guessed this man was similar in demeanor to Victor, his creator. +

He was grateful for the shelter from the snowstorm blustering outside. Despite his large size, the cold was something that chilled him to the bone. "Th-thank you," he said, shivering as he wrapped his jacket-clad arms around himself.

A grin crossed his features at the fox's bark, slightly surprised by it but the furry animal was so cute. "You're a good little fox, are you not?" he said softly, leaning down to pet the fox's ears.

He thought not to ask about why exactly the other man was reading the notes. It was hardly any of his business. And the tension in the air could be cut with a knife. Maybe there was more to the situation that met his eyes. +

He offers his jacket, wrapping it around her shoulders.

He was perturbed by the fox coming up to him. This simply wasn’t like any other one he had encountered before. But, who was he to deny such a cute animal any pets? He gently lowered his hand to scratch the fox’s head.

There was something off about the situation but Adam couldn’t quite put his finger on it. He placed the apple down on the shrine and backed away as slowly as he could. Wait.. there it was. The paper. “Did you open one of the notes placed here?” he asked curiously.

“Even if they mean you no harm?”

He sneered. “No, Victor. You are simply afraid they will learn that I am intelligent. That I am a person.”

Somehow he understood, the only thing that he felt during his rage was the need to destroy. To destroy Victor. But, now that he was gone, it was different. He still had bouts of it but there was nowhere to put it. It wouldn’t be right for him to take it out on anything other than him. +

He, too, could commiserate. His rage often overtook him in the same ways when it came to his own creator. Adam could feel the sinking in the pit of his stomach just thinking about him. "I feel much the same about my own." But this was about her right now. "Would talking help?"

He walked into the light, covering his eyes. "This is no intrusion," he assured. "I do not own this castle or land. I'm simply ... drawing." He raised his drawing notebook. "I mean no harm."
