When I say I'd like to live in New Zealand, I am always told "but it's so expensive" I find it interesting then when running a cost of living comparison between where I live now in Manchester* and three of New Zealand's biggest cities, that NZ still comes out cheaper. *I don't live in MCR "city"

Just saw this slow moving star wander across the sky when I was randomly out in the garden. Thought it was a plane at first, till my little brain suddenly realised it was the ISS. And I was very excited! I've never seen it fly over before.

This is a little personal comic I’ve been working on. I’ve been working on a version of this for quite some time. I sort of want to explain my want to escape the UK and why I’d like to move to New Zealand, even though it is extremely unlikely to happen. Thread.

I like looking at towns to live in other countries. Like Canada, New Zealand or Sweden. They always look really pretty. But I wonder, is it like looking at the UK & seeing places like the Cotswolds or Edinburgh & thinking we all live there? When in reality we all live in some dingy housing estate.

I like watching POV driving videos, mostly from other countries. My favourites are Canada and New Zealand. These places are spectacular with their scenery. And as a professional driver, I won't lie when I say how EASY it looks to drive there. It's the dream!

You can tell I've lived in the north of England for too long. My van has just hit 32° and I'm like "uuggghh I can't cope. I'm dying"

Whenever I mention I'd like to move to New Zealand, I always hear about how expensive it is. But, looking at the cost of living, it seems pretty comparable to where I live now. And cheaper than the south of England where I'm from! I think this says more about the cost of living rises here than NZ!

Life goals…?

It’s been a long time since I created a #map and I really enjoy making maps. Here is a map of The North West of England. The region in which I live. This region has the highest mountains and biggest lakes in England. It also contains some of the biggest cities.

I’ve changed my drawing tablet, still using the same program, but having little play around. So I drew a little self portrait of me in my work get up (I’m a postman) to practice.

Redraw time! This time of a bonus comic I made in 2022. I had an extra panel at the end of that comic and thought it worked better, so I made that the main panel. I was experimenting with style back then, and I am still doing so now!

Don't often go into Manchester centre too often these days. But I've always enjoyed the skyscrapers. They aren't the biggest in the world, but you know what they say, it's not the size that counts 😉

Brand new Alice and Lucy comic here. Friday night is “chippy tea” time. (It’s what Fish and Chips are actually called) Alice is singing this to the tune of Chippy Tea by the Lancashire Hotpots.

Silly little comic about my car. Firstly, cars are hard to draw. Secondly, I actually like my car, it’s just the wrong sort of car for the driving I do. Thirdly. I still owe a lot of money on this car, so I can’t just sell it and buy a new one.

Another #redraw - this was another bonus comic I drew after the main story. Alice always has a bit of a panic about boys when they come to try and flirt with her. Lucy is far less shy about letting them know she is queer and taken.
