Both things can be true about adhd: mine is my poetry superpower & it holds me back: I lose checks, other important things, forget bills, texts, apts. I used to forget assignments & fail classes, self medicate. I’ve learned to admit this, to carefully plan. To (mostly) not shame spiral/check out.

The reason you're having trouble concentrating if you are here in the US is because we're basically being chased around by serial killers and being asked to disregard the fact.

Of course ending birthright citizenship is blatantly unconstitutional. So is a third term in office. But I thought the same thing about presidential criminal immunity and holding office after inciting an insurrection. The obvious is not so obvious anymore.

Of course my husband leaves for a 4 month film project in Atlanta on the same day the evil overlords take over, then the temperatures drop below zero and the kids and I get a horrible stomach virus. Merry 2025. I’m tired.

I’ve been reading everything of Neil Gaiman’s since I heard Tori Amos sing “me & Neil’ll be hangin out with the dream king” when I was 12, as a side devotion to her. (1)
