I've found it really hard to understand the why... Why do you believe rounding people up who have spent their lives probably coming here. My family did. How does sending them home mend your hurt. I'm spending my time on r/conservative and I don't get it.

I grew up under a dose of autocracy and dictatorship. The country was led by the same person for 40 years. Then his son took over for the last 20. During his dad's time it was brutal repression.

I won the Kizomba Pacific Northwest Jack and Jill competition in January. There were 2 rounds. 4 heats with 5 couples. You danced with 3 different partners. And in the final you got shuffled but you danced all 3 songs with the same partner. The judging was based on connection and musicality.🏅

I don't know if I can do this every couple of days. It's incredibly frustrating to face the reality of being black in physical spaces, and come online and made feel so small, because as a people we don't deserve respect is disheartening.

I have made decisions, and made mistakes. those have caused harm to real people, including Black folks, including really great+knowledgeable Black folks who supported Bluesky. I'm sorry. feel pretty bad about it. it sucks. re/earning their trust, and everybody else's trust, will be hard.

The consistent factor I see in all of these misses, is that BlueSky doesn't talk to or listen to Black users or Black experts in the field of moderation and online communities, about their concerns or recommendations. This is before we even get to "Do they follow any of those recommendations?"
