I can't begin to put into words the disappointment I feel after yesterday's court ruling. I hope all of my trans friends & colleagues are looking after themselves. Looking forward to my volunteering this week with the Museum of Transology, being in a space that supports & celebrates the community.

1/2 - 12 years ago I decided, for our Professional Enquiry module, to look into a career in "writing about photography". We had to interview people in the field, so in addition to my tutor David Evans, I emailed David Campany & Richard West, not thinking they would reply.

This week introduces one of the least visible of all early British women photographers but possibly one of the most significant. Mrs Atkinson was an itinerant photographer travelling with her 'Photographic Van' in her 1860 Richmond and Ripon Chronicle advertisement. 1/2

Spent yesterday morning dying in bed of period cramps. By the evening I was doing alright and went to Horror On Sea to see my niece debut in her first horror movie! 🤘🏻 Felt like shit but also very proud.

My mum sits me down to go through some family bits and pieces for me to choose from. One of them was a velvet sewing kit of her grandma's that also contained a small cross stitch booklet she had made, possibly in school! What a goregous little thing! I will have to do a little research into it!

Finally got to see The Valleys show at the Amgueddfa Cymru today and it did not disappoint! What a great show!

My parents told me to go through the stuff I left at theirs during the pandemic/when I moved to Sweden and a forgotten trove of photos awaits my inspection 👀
