I came across some M33 data from September 2024 and reprocessed it using techniques that I've learnt over the last year. 67 minutes total exposure taken with CFF135 refractor 🔭 and QHY286C camera at -10C. This is RGB only - no Ha added. #astrophotography

Fun🪐ring-plane-crossing day fact! Astronomers of old used these events to discover Saturn's moons! The 1665 crossing revealed Titan to Huygens, and the 1671/72 event showed Iapetus and Rhea to Cassini. The two bright dots in the👇1995 Hubble image are Tethys and Dione 🤓🔭

Big, bright, and spotty — these images were taken by participants at IAYC 2024. Due to the solar maximum, sunspots were highly visible for the duration of camp, and we were left with some lovely photos of our star (check how the sunspots move as the Sun rotates!) :) 🔭🧪🎢 #astrophotography
