A wonderful friend of mine just turned 60. His ancestor won a VC in WW1 so I made him this. Frame and photo cost about £20, the Victoria Cross an extra £400k but I’m sure you’ll agree it was worth every penny :) PS don’t tell him - it’s a surprise

Good question! I am progressively pulling all my #FamilyHistory research together into a #FamilyHistoryArchive using the weare.xyz platform (which I am also using for my #OnePlaceStudy)

And this one is just the first in a series to come (alternating across different time zones). Definitely something to attend if you are using the weare.xyz platform to gather together your #FamilyHistory or #OnePlaceStudy research or thinking about using it for that purpose..

I loved this new book 'Firestarter'. True story of 1830s arsonist in Gt Shelford (where I grew up). You really are transported. Backdrop of 'inclosure', Swing Riots, underpinned by archive letters, newspapers, assize & parish records & the harsh finale on the gallows. #Genealogy #OnePlaceStudies

Odiham Castle built as a hunting lodge by King John 1214 - so about lunchtime :)

IMHO this is the most beautiful cherry blossom tree in London at the top of the hill which is ‘Notting Hill’ off Ladbroke Grove. It’s perfect for about 3 days and mobbed by tourists taking selfies (this was very early in the day)
