Ein Problem ist geklärt – doch das Ergebnis wirft gleich die nächste Frage auf. In der Wissenschaft passiert das häufig. So lief es auch mit dem Hypothese-Podcast der Universität Bonn, in dem Thesen von Wissenschaftler:innen verifiziert (als wahr bestätigt) oder falsifiziert (widerlegt) werden. Ein Hörer aus Berlin verwies auf den Wissenschaftstheoretiker Karl Popper, nach dem Hypothesen nur falsifiziert und nicht verifiziert werden können. In der neuen Podcast-Folge diskutiert nun der Philosoph Prof. Dr. Markus Gabriel die These „Hypothesen können nicht verifiziert werden“. Zugespitzt und wissenschaftsnah – das ist der „Hypothese“-Podcast der Uni Bonn. Jeden ersten Donnerstag im Monat stellen sich renommierte Gäste einer zugespitzten Hypothese zu einem gesellschaftlich relevanten Thema. Moderiert von dem Journalisten Denis Nasser wägt jeweils eine Expertin oder ein Experte den Wahrheitsgehalt der Titelaussage ab und gibt abschließend ein Votum ab, ob die finale Einschätzung eher in Richtung „verifiziert“ (also als „wahr bestätigt“) oder falsifiziert (als „unwahr“ bestätigt) gehen würde.
