I have reached the point where I don't think I should go back to bed. Zoey wanted a churu at 3, so I obliged, then played all of the word games, now I could sleep for about an hour, but if I do I will be groggy when I should wake up. Ugh.

Started loading the car. Still have packing to do, but my knitting is in there.

Every time I fall asleep at a normal hour I wake up and think it's the middle of the night but it's not even midnight. Zoey helped today. She also hid from me very successfully. I did not hear her purring or notice her tail sticking out from her hiding place, nope, not at all.

Zoey wanted to go outside so badly today she was making sounds like a tiny elk bugling. Now she's outside in her stroller, staring at me through the window.

It is 10:30 on a Sunday night, the office is technically closed tomorrow. I do not need to figure out a tactful way to tell my boss that she needs to learn how to do something properly rather than do it wrong and insist that the whole thing be changed so she can continue to do things wrong.

Trying to remind Zoey that she does actually like food, that eating is good, and she should do it. But there are Noises in the basement, and Other Human might be doing something interesting!

Dreamed that I was shopping for a TV with my grandma. She died many years ago, and it was good to see her smiling and bopping around the weird giant mall we were in.

Goal for Rhinebeck: don't pack a ridiculous number of projects. Pack only a reasonable number, like eight. That's one for every day, including travel days. That should be enough. I don't need to bring two dozen projects.

Poor neglected Zoey. I was in the kitchen (apple fritter cake!) and she cried until I sat down and provided lap.

We're back to 4 am churu.

Have an abundance of squash. Making something with cottage cheese and pickled onion and chili crisp. And pepitas. Which I always understood to be pumpkin seeds, but pumpkins are squash, so I can roast the seeds from the squash that I am cooking, yes? Maybe I should read the blog section.

Poor Zoey had to leave the house today. She complained loudly on the way to and from the vet, but was very well behaved for her exam/shots.

Ugh, was working, getting shit done, then Other Human was kind and fed me dinner, and now I don't want to work anymore. But I should, I got distracted from what I needed to get done when my boss sent me more things to do. And reminded me why I don't trust people with my spreadsheets.

Minor good things today (aside from excellent mail): Found both my missing book light and drug dealer scale. I've reached the point in a project when I am dealing with tiny bits of yarn, and being able to get accurate weights is very helpful! Also, Zoey ate ALL of her breakfast.

I do not know what kind of obnoxious outdoor power tool is being used, but I would like it to die. Now, please.

Working outside on the deck. Zoey is helping. No pictures because my phone is charging indoors. Although it might be charged enough to bring out, I should check. Except somehow I seem to be getting more done when my phone is out of reach. Funny how that happens.
