Hi, I have let go of the blueskyfeeds .com domain, and am no longer associated with it. From now on this account is focused on open source improvements on the feed server and running a few lightweight feeds.

Open source code for feed self-host and potentially running in a docker container is tentatively working. Doing some tests and writing a readme now.

Hi, I am starting the process of closing the blueskyfeeds.com feed service in early July. I am having difficulty dealing with site outages, issues with the firehose, ballooning cloud operating costs, and blocking users trying to 'stress test' with feeds that store every post (you know who you are).

Sorry for the feeds being down. I just upgraded the database infrastructure, but the database indexes aren't being built properly, so it's too slow to serve feeds. Might be down for a few days while I optimize for the amount of data served.

Sorry for the feed server hiccup. The server's overloaded by the mass signups recently and got knocked out. I'm restarted the process on fast-forward but it'll take a few hours to catch up.

Sorry for the disruption. Blueskyfeeds.com had about four hours of feed mixups while I was fixing an issue with mute words that ended up getting all posts jumbled. It should be fixed now, but if you're still having any issues, let me know. Mute word detection should actually work correctly now.

Server is still desperately trying to catch up after recovering. Too many posts with all the new users in. It'll probably take a few hours to fully catch up.😓

The Bluesky backend appears to be broken again. I'm happy to say that blueskyfeeds.com is still up. If you'd like to migrate from any of the other broken feed builders, I'll be happy to assist.

Bluesky is experiencing issues at the backend right now. The AppView you see is fine, but lots of third party tools like mine aren't working properly. I'll post an update when I get find out if it's fixed

BlueskyFeeds update: Just fixed a bug in non-chronological feed scoring, feeds on blueskyfeeds.com using this method should update correctly about every 15 minutes.

Waiting for usage to drop a little before upgrading the database. Database usage has been floating between 90-100% usage for the past week which was causing the crashes. This should make the service much more stable, but cost $20 more per month.

Sorry about that. Feed database crashed a few hours ago. The service is currently catching up.

@atproto.com Is the label server already accessible to feed builders? From the code it seems to follow a similar format to the regular subscription, but attempting to subclass and connect to bsky.social or bsky.network just gives me 502 errors.

STICKY: The Only Following Feed is currently in Beta. It only shows posts made by users you follow without any posts or replies from users you don't. When you first open it, it gets your following list and starts listening for posts. Any posts & changes to your following list may take time to get.

Projects for this weekend: - Private feeds (for you or a managed list of users), I could probably randomize the name and description. - A Following-Only Feed, that only shows posts and replies between users you follow - More UI improvements (make keywords less confusing)

Hey @draggle.bsky.social , sorry to pry, but may I know what 3rd party app or server you're using to access bsky? I'm trying to debug feed data, and it seems that the timestamp of your posts are somehow set wrongly (set in the future).
