In the first half of 2025, Baltimore had the fewest homicides ever recorded – 62% decrease compared to this time three years ago. But we can’t rest. In every community, we must continue to confront violence and do all we can to keep Marylanders safe.

At my request, federal authorities, @ilstatepolice.bsky.social, and local law enforcement have kept me updated on any potential physical and cyber threats to the homeland that could affect Illinois. We will remain vigilant and publicly communicate if there are related incidents or concerns.
